Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What does “plein air” mean?
A. Plein Air is a French phrase meaning “out doors or in nature” – it has also come to mean a certain style of painting – a true plein air painting is generally painted in one session on location. The challenge is to capture the effects of light on the landscape quickly before it changes too much. This requires quick decision making in the composition of the painting and the mixing of color.

Q. Are all your paintings original or do you make prints?
A. All my paintings are “one of a kind” originals – I do not make prints.

Q. Is framing included in the price of your work?
A. Generally, yes. Unless otherwise indicated in the description of the piece.
